New Vegas is threatening to take over my life right now.PujolJunkie wrote:Apparently New Vegas is filled with bugs, but I have ran into very few, if any so far.
It's so incredible.

So does New Vegas have lots of dilapidated Vegas landmarks in it?

Re: The Video Game Thread
the Vegas Strip is actually a relatively small part of the game. I've never been to Vegas, but it didn't strike me as terribly accurate. The Hoover Dam is in the game, though.
Kinect is pretty cool so far. It definitely will need more time and refinement for "serious" games, but for the casual games I'm liking it so far. Never thought I'd see true exercise potential in this, but after messing around with it for a bit I can see it. I'd never do real exercise with the Wii or the Move just because I'd never exercise with those controllers in my hands given that I know they'd end up thrown all over the place. Not a problem with Kinect. The sensor already does a good job of tracking my position and limb movements, with time it should be even better.
I look forward to hand movements and voice commands getting integrated into top tier controller based games. I guess that may not be really there until the next iteration of the xbox where I assume Kinect like hardware will come standard.

I will probably buy New Vegas this weekend considering I will be moving to Vegas in about 3 weeks. Good idea to learn the lay of the land just in case, you know, it ever turns into a nuclear wasteland and I have to fight off mutants and robots.

I really enjoyed Borderlands and I'm not a usual loot game player. I got it through gamefly, so I don't have it anymore. I've thought about grabbing it to play the DLC's.

Re: The Video Game Thread
Has anyone else who's played Fallout New Vegas on the consoles had all kinds of trouble with game freezes? Rarely do any of my PS3 games freeze up on me at all, and this one does it almost once every fifteen minutes. My disc seems okay, so I don't think it's a hardware issue. I've heard a lot of talk about how buggy (and laggy) it can get, but I didn't think game freezes would be part of the problem.

I never had it freeze, but I've read of plenty of others who have.

i dont own it (yet), but i have also heard of it crashing/bugging out a lot...
i do remember on FO3 there'd be times when it would just freeze up, though it wasn't very often
not that this helps you

I'm really liking Black Ops so far.
