Jenkins got a lot of undeserved promotions through the minor league system. He had subpar stats but hey he was a #1 round draft pick and he's been at this level for X number of time so I guess we have no choice but to promote him or release him. Kozma was similar in the way he made his way up the system.

I'm hoping this thread grows exponentially in the next few days.

No one doubts Luis Perdomo's status as a pitcher who rakes. But, offensively, he does more than just hit. Perdomo has wheels, too, and he's showing them off quite frequently this season.

With his fourth-inning triple in the Padres' 5-4, 12-inning loss to the Giants on Saturday afternoon, Perdomo became the seventh pitcher in history with three triples in a single season. In the process, he's already tied Tim Lollar for the Padres' all-time triples record by a pitcher.

Adams just hit number 16, a 3-run shot to tie it off Jansen in the 9th. The shift will eventually start getting him again, so he will sooner or later have to resort to trying to hit singles to left the way Mabes taught him.

I didn't think this thread was really meant to be a Matt Adams home run chronicle. We don't post here every time Albert or Holliday or Mark Reynolds homer either. Who cares if Adams hits 80 home runs this year...he's been traded; it's been discussed; you either like it or don't but it is time to move on. There is no going back now.

CardsofSTL, he's a troll. He's not actually interested in keeping track of how many HRs Adams hits (as is evidenced by what he writes when Adams isn't homering). He's not going to move on.

Interesting definition. People with legit issues with the incompetence in the Cardinals' front office and field management are now "trolls".

I just know that sort of production would have greatly helped the Cardinals this year. And, it wouldn't have cost anything to get it - other than a few hurt feelings.

Except he would have already cost the team that many more runs via his "defense" in the outfield. So it has still been a net positive not having him here.

Pete Kozma cleared waivers and is at the Rangers AAA affiliate as an organizational depth piece. Trying to get that 10 years of pro service.

John Axford DFA'd by the A's. 17 walks in 21 innings.
