The stuff is still available. The count on the Proprietors in 12/22s (and this is just for the city of Chicago) is 71 cases.
Pub where I sampled it said they had people waiting at the door for them to tap (a 2013 they squirrelled away and 2014). BUt, they still have it now.

How much of it is - it is just that good vs limited supply creates demand and some savvy street marketing?

I need to be in a good spot with time to try it for real some time. maybe saturday.

It's very very good. Up to this year it won the Strong Porter/Stout category at the Festival of Barrel Aged Beers every single year.

I still haven't been into Side Project, but I chatted with Cory and his wife Karen while they sat at my bar for a little bit recently and they seem like they're just about the nicest people on the planet.

Right. I just can't afford to drink there though I want to.
4, maybe 5, ounces of beer for $7 to $12 is too rich for me.

I didn't realize what Side Project is. will try it, though it doesn't sound like it hits my beer preferences. I welcome this place though-makes me feel less like a beer snob.

Yikes, for $2/oz it better be infused with bald eagle heads or something. He said they are doing whiskey and wine there. Any cool stuff in that department?

I'm not a whiskey expert but it looked pretty mundane compared to the beer list.

see what I mean?

Beer has officially crossed the stupid line.
