Auburn is a 4-loss team. They "might" squeak into the final top 25, but not by much.

Beating FSU by 3 points is OK, I guess.

Clemson is fine, and they'll likely get in, but I'd definitely say they'll be the weakest of the 4 teams.

I got Alabama, Ohio State, Washington and probably Clemson. I think the winner of the Penn State / Wisconsin game has a pretty good argument, too.

I would quibble with Washington over Clemson given Washington's incredibly putrid nonconference schedule, but we see it the same otherwise. If you are going to take PSU or Wisconsin over a team, it'll be over Washington, not Clemson.

Nick Saban has killed the SEC.

Tennessee, Georgia and LSU have all fired the winningest coaches in their modern eras because they couldn't beat Nick Saban and all of them have ended up with worse coaches to replace them. This would have been like the Utah Jazz firing Karl Malone and John Stockton or the New York Knicks cutting Patrick Ewing for losing to the Jordan-era Bulls. Saban is Michael Jordan and you just have to accept that your team isn't going to beat his.

But you don't have to turn your programs into total [expletive] shows.

Georgia just lost to Vandy, Tennessee, Florida and Georgia Tech for the first time in program history. Butch Jones just lost to Vanderbilt for the second time in four years, and LSU just gave the head job to a guy who should be wrestling alligators in the swamp for a living.

When the Crimson Tide beats Florida this coming weekend every single SEC team will have four losses or more.

And I honestly think everyone in the SEC wants their coach fired this morning except for Kentucky and Vanderbilt, and both of these fan bases wanted their coach fired for the vast majority of the season.

I feel like we need a coach swap just to spice things up. Like, why not send Kevin Sumlin to Tennessee and Butch Jones to Texas A&M for the year, send Jim McElwain to Arkansas and Bret Bielema to Florida, Kirby Smart to Auburn and Gus Malzahn to Georgia.

No one wants their coach and at least this way we'd have some excitement.

Because the entire SEC is a gigantic dumpster fire.

That is the big question, IMO. Has Bama played anyone worth a damn or are they really the 1985 Bears?

Say what u want about the sec being over rated but alabama beat csouthern cal (a team worthy of top 4 consideration) by 40 some odd points. They've beat atm, tennessee, lsu, and auburn all of whom are in the top 25. They play florida this week who is also a top 20ish team. Do all those teams have warts that diminish the wins? Sure. But they've also put together the best resume of any team.

Couple that with saban being a brilliant coach with like 5 years in a row of top 5 recruiting classes and a defense that looks like they're gonna graduate double digits into the nfl over the next few years....tough to argue they shouldn't be 1.

Given that, it's easy to argue that a team like clemson should be in the top 4 because they have the best chance to beat bama or hang with them. But that seems to be not only unfair to bama but also really bad for the sport. I get that clemson has a better shot of beating bama than Washington or Wisconsin but is that how were gonna start ranking teams? Whatever team matched up best/worst against the best team like clemson spread offense and qb match up well against bama? Seems disingenuous

yea questioning bama's strength of schedules seems like a stretch. a team with a good defense may keep it close, but thats about it.
