If I had more than my iPad, I'd share the overhead gif. Perhaps someone else can pick me up?
It's [expletive], he clearly broke the stick on Elliott's left pad, but he did a good job of holding it together until after the play. Bad luck, but another road point.

I know they had said that it wasn't a "reviewable" play, but I thought all goals scored were reviewed?
The stick breaking isn't reviewable; they can review whether the puck crossed the line, if there was high-sticking, a "distinct" kicking motion, time of the goal, whether the net was off it moorings... but not if a broken stick was used?
Makes total sense....thanks Betmann.

I'm interested to see how Hitch handles his excess of quality (well, NHL viable) defensemen. I really like the way Bortuzzo has played in a 3rd pairing role, he brings a level of toughness missing from our top 6. Petro, Bouwmeester, Shattenkirk, Gunnarson, Jackman, Michalek, Bortuzzo ... Lindbohm & Butler.

Gunny hasn't been what I thought he'd be. I'm sure part of it is the injuries, but the way he just let his man park in the crease for the GWG against CBJ was disappointing.

I think I'd take just about every D-man we have except for maybe Butler over him right now.

I'm really trying not to be a Debbie Downer, but this is sure starting to feel like the way we went into the playoffs last year. :?

That's one way to look at it....another way would be they seem to be sucking at the wrong time again.

Trying to be the anti-Blues fan. Aka, positive and hopeful. Woo! Tarasenko and Steener injuries are just a way to get enough rest before the big show! YAY!

Tarasenko's 15-game hand injury didn't slow him down against Chicago last year.

EVERYTHING IS OKAY HERE, MOVE ALONG, DON'T TALK ABOUT THIS ANYMORE PLEASE.

Tonight's game is fraking insane. 3 goals are scored in the first 38 seconds of the second period. The Blues go from up 3-1, to down 5-3, to now up 6-5 with about 6 min left. Crazy.

EDIT: 7-5 winner. Schwartz with a hattie, though the 3rd was an ENG.
