Well, that pretty much sums up what we all knew.....Jon Jay's arm is complete [expletive]; from the article: "he tested at the low 80s from the outfield, so he has the ability to bring some heat"; low 80's from the OF which likely means charging the ball and throwing from a crow-hop is absolutely AWFUL, hell....I'm pretty sure I can throw low 80's doing that same drill.
Yeah... Even Aaron [expletive] Miles at least hit 70 when he was on the mound.

Even I can throw over the plate in the mid 60's, and I spend half my day writing sarcastic comments on an internet message board. C'mon, Jay.

But can you put a Major League side down without scoring like the wily vet the Chief Justice is?

Colby Rasmus (hip) will not return this season.
Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times says Rasmus has informed the Rays that he wants to "step away" from baseball, and the club in turn placed him on the restricted list Thursday. Rasmus has been sidelined since the middle of June because of lingering discomfort in his surgically-repaired hip. He had a cool .896 OPS with nine home runs and 23 RBI in 37 games this season for the Rays.

That sounds pretty grim.

Sort of interesting to read the opinions of fans of other teams, who put the blame squarely on TLR for making Rasmus hate baseball.

I prefer to blame a different Tony.
