My balls are blue.
edit ... is this really true:
What about the little wirey guys .. they seem to wear well. I think the key is fat. Fat guys don't last as long. Those, and injury prone guys. They tend to get injured alot.massive, football-like frame that is built for the wear-and-tear of seasons.

I know that guys who have a power/speed combo age well. And that means athletic. And that's a category that football player-sized MLBers fit into.

I dunno about that, when I think of fast big guys, I think of guys like Scott Rolen. I know his shoulder injuries have kinda been freak accidents, but he has other issues too such as his back.
When I think of guys who age well, I think of guys like Mike Cameron.
Somebody that reminds me of Matt Holliday is Gary Sheffield. Sheffield came up as a SS, moved to 3b, and then when he was 25 went to the outfield. Holliday came up as a 3b and was moved to the outfield before he reached the bigs. Their numbers are similar by age (except Sheff was reached the bigs when he was 19 and Holliday 24) plus I see their build as being similar... well, I guess not quite since Holliday is a good 5 inches taller, but their frames seem similar.
edit: forgot to state my point... Gary Sheffield aged very well. His best years came in his early 30's and he was still a productive player last year at age 40.

Sheff was pretty freakish. I hope Holliday is the same. Reggie Sanders also aged well, except when venturing into the LF alley on occasion (I forgot, did that ball hit his head?). Canseco is another guy who aged well, though God knows what Fountain of Youth he was drinking from (117 OPS+ at age 36). And Galarraga was a monster from age 32 -39.

Sanders and Canseco both played balls off of their heads. I guess the same could be said of Holliday already.
