Halo: Reach.

That's all I have to say.

Final Fantasy 13 was about as excited as I've gotten for a new game in years. Halo: Reach has totally smashed that. The legendary edition came into work yesterday morning. It looks amazing, but there's no way I'd pay 150 bucks for it.

A lot of quality games on there; developers don't have to shell out as big a buck for flashy graphics and can focus on story and gameplay to sell the title (which I'm usually more interested in anyway).
Of all the current systems, the DS has the best combination of quality and variety of games. Can't wait for the 3DS.

The Halo games are promoted so well. I'll probably pick that up this weekend @ full price and let it collect dust for 6-10 months, just like I do for every game I make an impulse buy on.

Just drove by the local gamestop here in North County. Holy [expletive]. There was a line literally from the door of Gamestop, wrapping around the shopping center at Cross Keys Plaza. Unbelievable.

Will be picking Reach up tomorrow. No doubt.

Woo North County. Is Cross Keys Plaza massive complex where there used to be a Schnuck's and Cross Keys Cinema (dollar show)? It looks so different there now.

I'll eventually get it, but I'm in a prolonged gaming slump...Which means I'll likely buy it this weekend, look at the instruction booklet, contemplate my place in the Halo universe and decide on a nap. RDR, L4D2 and Oblivion still haven't quite made it to the disc tray after almost a year for a couple of those games.

Let's not forget the Service Merchandise.
