Anyone living in central Illinois that doesn't mind driving to Havana (Illinois) can sign up for the first Moderna shot this coming Monday. I signed up and got confirmation.

This was posted with the link given.
"Mason County Health department in Havana, IL. March 15th. Doesn’t matter age or phase as long as over 18. They need to fill this vaccination clinic. Moderna"

I got my first jab of the pfizer vax last night. Woot! Overnight I felt as you do when you're first feeling signs of a flu bug coming on. But this morning I don't feel too bad. Mild headache and my shoulder hurts, but it's not unbearable at all.
I didn’t have any noticeable reaction to the first shot. I had the symptoms you’re describing over the weekend after getting the second shot on Friday. Fully vaccinated!!

I got Johnson and Johnson yesterday. So one shot and done. I feel like poop today but it's worth it to know I'm protected.

I got the 2nd dose of the Moderna one a week ago. So I'm set now. Some people felt like crap after the 2nd dose, but I actually felt worse after the first dose than the 2nd one.

Just got my first dose. Didn’t even know I was eligible until about an hour ago. But a coworker said engineers qualified now and there was a place doing mass vaccines. So we went. To be honest I think they’d give it to anyone that showed up. Not that I know who qualifies, but almost everyone here is under 50. So there’s that.

Yeah, the hard part (here in MO for sure, anyway) is finding an appointment or a mass vax event. Once you can find a spot to go, the people doing the actual shot don't seem to care. I got mine through Mercy's website here in STL. I hit it right at the right time and found appointment slots open. I picked a time/day, it asked me what tier I was in, name, address, phone, etc. I filled everything in truthfully (essential worker, immune-suppressed, hypertension, almost 40% BMI). It confirmed my appointment. On the day of the shot, the workers checked my ID against the info I had registered with, glanced and my insurance card, and then gave me my shot and my appointment time to return for the second dose.

It's all honor system.

I haven’t felt bad at all but I have taken 9 solid [expletive]. No stomach aches. Nothing. Just a constant need to [expletive].

I'm not eligible yet in IL, due to age and health. But I am on 2 different notification lists, so maybe I'll get the first dose by the end of... April? May?
