My brother is playing at Daryl's House in a couple weeks. https://www.ticketweb.com/event/nrbq-d ... jyOkKAh8

I don't think I know anyone with strong feelings about Hall and Oates, either way, so I'm not sure what their legacy is.
That's awesome. I really enjoy Live at Daryl's House.

Wait a second? Your brother is in NRBQ? That's epic.

Yeah, my brother is Scott Ligon. His favorite band throughout the 90s and early 2000s was NRBQ and then he was asked to join the band. Pretty insane.

BTW, are any of those shows at "Daryl's House" still recorded? I used to see them years ago but haven't noticed if they're still shown anywhere. I know my brother has played there at least a few differnt times with NRBQ but I don't think I've ever seen any clips.

Hey @BottenFieldofDreams - as someone who's adolescence was during the H&O era, I can tell you when I think H&O, I don't think of 'Maneater' and 'You Make My Dreams'. I think of 'She's Gone' and 'Sara Smile'. Those 80's hits were a decade into their partnership. Checkout their early output for more soul / R&B inflected stuff.
This is true.

I take exception to the hair metal hate however.

Was it one of you asking what pure joy is? This is pure joy--listening to this. I may never have a bad day again with this within permanent easy reach:
There are 63 tracks of Revolver alternate takes on this new Super Deluxe release. Marvelous. Listen to the evolution of Yellow Submarine.
