Going along with that, chanting "USA, USA..." as if you were rooting on a sports team has always rubbed me the wrong way.

I think everything I've heard come out of Guiliani's mouth tonight is laughable. I thought his speech was horrible, and the fact that Pat Buchanan loved it tells me that I was right.clement wrote:Lol, what % did McCain? I mean come on, this united crap is laughable. The Republicans are no more united than the Democrats as obviously McCain has issues as well with large constituencies within the party.Radbird wrote:(Giuliani) Said Obama could only get half of his own party's vote, and the Republicans are united. We'll be hearing a lot of that over the next 2 months.

She ripped on him for being a community organizer but then goes on about how she joined the PTA...brain freeze.

Let's stop with the hyperbole
I agree the united crap is laughable, because I love the Obama lovefest when all of those Hillary supporters bashed the crap out of him, WAY moreso then McCain haters bashed him

Up to this point, the polls don't bear that out. She is doing better with men than women, which doesn't surprise me at all. It's hard to say what the cause is (Palin named as VP or Dem convention and Obama's speech), but Obama is doing better with women and former Hilary supporters now than before Palin was named on the ticket.JG1982 wrote:I think Anderson Cooper is way too over the top smart for his own good..
He just said that women voters in America won't vote for McCain/Palin simply because she is a woman..
I personally think she is picking up a lot of votes simply BECAUSE of that fact

I'm just going by what I've heard from most republicans I know...they aren't really big fans of McCain because he was always too moderate. Just sayin'.JG1982 wrote:Most?TimeForGuinness wrote:I love the McCain lovefest when most Republicans hate him.clement wrote:Lol, what % did McCain? I mean come on, this united crap is laughable. And TFG
McCain wasn't my first choice as a Republican, but I don't think many Republicans ever dislike McCain as much as Democrats hated Obama and/or Hillary (whichever side you were on)
Maybe I'm wrong
