And maybe the most improbable (Spurs losing to the Lakers) happened last night.

NBA last weekend crossed 5000 games lost to injury, first time they did that since the changes to the Injured Reserve list in 2005-2006. This is crazy. The playoff teams fully healthy in the West right now is like 2. East is a little healthier, but still not good.Jocephus wrote:K Irving out rest of year, playoffs with knee surgery
The C's basically turned over their whole team (only Smart, Brown, Horford, Rozier remain from last year) to put their eggs into a top-heavy lineup with Kyrie and Hayward and now they're gone. Hats off to them, they knew what they had in Rozier and Brown and Smart and are #2 in the East, but still it's hard to win playoff games if your first option is Horford and your second options is Whichever Role Player Has The Hot Hand Tonight.

Playoffs for the first time since 2015. Pelicans can't rest against the Spurs though. Win and they're guaranteed a 6 or better seed (with a very slim shot at 4th.) Lose, and they'll be the 8 seed vs Houston. They've lost every tiebreaker, including Denver/Minnesota.

Not that it matters to anyone else, but as a Nuggets fan, this is the biggest basketball night that I've had in 5 years.

Has a national outlet (NBA TV maybe?) picked up the game yet? It's hard to believe what is truly a play-in game won't get televised across the country when it's going to be the lead for Sportscenter tonight/tomorrow.Socnorb11 wrote:Not that it matters to anyone else, but as a Nuggets fan, this is the biggest basketball night that I've had in 5 years.

Won't be on TV, unfortunately. ESPN has Bucks/Sixers, in what is essentially a meaningless game.
