I think it would have been nice to see a soccer stadium in St. Louis to host a game.
FIFA won't let world cup games be played in anything smaller than NFL stadiums.
...I know...it was more of a venting of frustrations.
Not even early games pitting small fan base countries? Can we put grass in the Ed?
1994 World Cup still holds the attendance record - I'm sure they'll be eager to break it. The Ed doesn't even hold the average from that cup.

EDIT – Going to guess the stadiums:
Michigan, New LA Stadium, Cowboys Stadium, Soldier Field, New Falcons Stadium, NYG Stadium, FedEx Field, Stanford Stadium, Arrowhead, Seahawks Stadium

I'd add Ohio Stadium to that. Columbus is practically the home of US Soccer.

Phoenix and Miami will be in the mix. Foxboro as well.

Soldier Field will but shouldn't. Small capacity and [expletive] surface. I have a hard time seeing them in Ann Arbor or Columbus. Major airports and hotel/convention spaces are a big component. Ask yourself where a Russian oligarch, a Swiss bureaucrat, a sheik, a brazilian cell phone magnate, or a former french player would want to go.

Wherever the swag and high priced hookers are. I doubt they care about much else.

An all-Miami World Cup would be a triumph.

Greetings from England

May I please bring you news of the latest "soccer" team to win promotion to the "EPL"

My very own Brighton & Hove Albion secured their place for the first time ever on Monday, and the first time in 34 years since they competed in the top division.

Brighton's Riches to Rags to Riches story is an extraordinary one, and the past twenty years has seen us crawlup from the lowest of the low, a homeless wreck of a club, to finally join the super rich.

When I started following the Cardinals in 1985, coincided with the beginning of the slide for "The Albion" who had been relegated in 1983 and continued to slide until the denouement in 1997 when the hated owners sold the ground and saw it demolished as the club sat at the foot of the lowest league and 45 minutes away from expulsion from the league.

Its a long story. But from the depths, we are finally back.

And i couldn't be more proud.

Now time to concentrate on my love for the Cardinals during the summer break - until Brighton & Hove Albion start in August up against all the English Soccer teams that you will be familiar with - The Manchester Uniteds and Chelseas.

Up The Albion

Let's Go Cardinals

Congrats! That's awesome. I always like to see smaller clubs outside of the major cities make it up. The fans always make the most of it.

Michigan I agree prob not, but with the new LA stadium, they probably wouldn't also do the Rose Bowl, so I added it as a nod to having ~100k people in one spot. It's also not so far from Detroit as Columbus is from Cincinnati.

I left Foxboro out on purpose. Grudges never die.

Crucial qualifier vs T&T tonight on FS1. 7 central, iirc.

Everyone is healthy (Brooks may be dinged), so we should see our best 11 playing in a game that is really, really important. I'm guessing:

-------------------------Howard
Yedlin--------Cameron--------Brooks---------Villafana
--------------------------Bradley
--Fab------------------------------------------Nagbe
--------------------------Pulisic
-------------------Dempsey-Alitdore
