Highlight of either convention thus far, IMHO.

Overall a good speech. Delivered well...a pretty safe pro-american, pro-republican speech of old.

She seems like a pitbull...which can be good...but most people don't like to get too close to pitbulls. Her next few months should be interesting.

Well, it's over, and I think she did a fantastic job. Just fantastic. My wife is much more independent than me (and a former RNC fundraiser, fwiw), and she loved it as well. This was a good choice. She's going to impact this campaign.

A couple little things that bugged me, but she showed that she can relate to a crowd, entertain, play offense and defense well, and more than anything, inspire. That's been the key to Obama's success and my biggest complaint with McCain so far.

He moves like a stiff partly because of his POW days.

I really don't know the whole story so I'll ask..

Are you being serious or condescending?

Sorry, poor word choice. I'm serious. He suffered serious injuries because of it.

I think she's got a tough line to walk, trying to be both hockey mom and attack dog.

And yeah, McCain looks old. He is old. Can't they die his hair? Rogaine? Enzyte? Anything.

I'm more a understated patriot. Don't like the pledge of allegiance, or flag pins, or flag burning amendments.

Going along with that, chanting "USA, USA..." as if you were rooting on a sports team has always rubbed me the wrong way.

I admit it, I was mostly disappointed.

Am I too simplistic in breaking it down as follows?

Democrats: "here's our plan for making things better..."

Republicans: "...and democrats SUCK because..."

What is the GOP platform besides drilling in ANWR
and hating the rest of us?
Nuclear power is always a good topic for me...but something tells me the Republicans won't get it done. It kinda makes me wonder who's going to profit from ANWR...and how much more pollution is it going to create?

I'd love to have a new Nuclear power plant in each state.
