According to MLB.com's Mark Bowman, the Braves are considering calling up Tyrell Jenkins as a reliever.
Jenkins opened the season as a starter at Triple-A Gwinnett, but he was recently shifted to relief work and will audition for a spot in the Atlanta bullpen over the next couple of weeks. The former top prospect owns a 2.97 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, and 40/22 K/BB ratio in 57 2/3 innings (nine starts, one relief appearance) this season at the Triple-A level. He was acquired from the Cardinals in 2014 as part of the Shelby Miller trade.
