Re: Garbage on Facebook
"Please say a prayer for my dear wife who is feeling sick this evening. She has a temperature and feels like crud. When mom gets sick, everybody feels it."
Her response: "Thanks for taking over the house today"
What you two really said:
Husband: "Oh my! Look how humble and Christian I am guys. I asked for PRAYERS! I'm so PRAYERFUL! I NEED VALIDATION FOR MY SPIRITUALITY!!!" (This guy posts this type of stuff every damn day. If your wife had a serious condition, then yeah, its an informative post, but its a cold, not ebola.
Wife: "I'm letting everyone know that you are such a useless and lazy husband that you need a cookie for helping out a handful of times per year! I also work full time and do all the house work! Its 1972!"
Her response: "Thanks for taking over the house today"

I read his post differently. I read it as "When she is a c -nt, the entire house suffers".JCShutout wrote:"Please say a prayer for my dear wife who is feeling sick this evening. She has a temperature and feels like crud. When mom gets sick, everybody feels it."

Re: Garbage on Facebook
I'll put this one here...One other thing I hate about Facebook (and Twitter or any of them) is how when you post something it is out there forever. If I posted something dumb 5 years ago I shouldn't have to answer for it today. I've learned since then and I'm not the same person. There should be a setting where your posts get deleted or just turned private after a certain amount of time. 6 months, a year, whatever you want.

I delete everything on my FB page after a year. Easy, considering I barely post.

My young, idealist son posts:
My brother-in-law replies:It hurts my heart that people as close as blood relatives, can lack the gentle-heartedness of the Lord they worship, and become so hateful towards their countrymen. ALL HUMANS ARE EQUALS, except for those who forsake their equality for an attempt at supremacy and dominion.
you want a war of words,? You got one. Your late aunt was, as and I for years, patriots and conservatives for not only good ideas but allso for what we thought were deleterious to the nation, based on our family values

I've started doing stuff like that...I'll leave some old posts here or there, but yeah. I do this for the most part.Tambourine Man wrote:I delete everything on my FB page after a year. Easy, considering I barely post.

Re: Garbage on Facebook
FYI - I learned on Twitter that posts that you retweet cannot be undone after about 6 months. They freeze them or something after that. Also, the last time I tried I could only go back to about 1 year's worth of tweets. I couldn't view my own tweets before that. Maybe there is a way to get at them, I don't know. You know darn well they have them somewhere.
