If we go 6-0, the Braves need to go 4-2 to force a tie and 5-1 to win it. Post season odds now at 24.7%

In the back of my mind, when the series with the Mets started, I thought we could afford to lose one game the rest of the way. We burned through that one loss pretty quick. Anything can happen, but I think if we lose one more game this year, the best we can hope for is a tie (which isn't the worst thing in the world).

BTW, we haven't won more than 5 in a row, so winning out would be the longest streak we've had all year.

Tough loss but you wake up tomorrow and figure you still have a shot. Definite gut check time though. And say what you want about LaRussa, this is where I think he really can shine in getting a team to believe.

We can lose one more game, IMO. But that's probably it, unless the Braves just tank.

The Braves are really struggling right now and are feeling the pressure. Today didn't help, but they are facing really tough pitching matchups the rest of the way. If we go 5-1 against the Cubs and 'stros and the Braves go 3-3, it forces a playoff. And that's a pretty reasonable scenario considering the pitching matchups of both teams. We miss Norris in the Astros series and we miss Garza (who is on fire right now) in the Cubs' series.

We can definitely still do this, but like they say: Goonies always make mistakes. Just don't make anymore.

Only saving grace to me is the Phillies have been bad lately and might want to get in their groove before the the playoffs

This loss really takes the wind out of the everyone's sails.

I mean, we knew we were gonna lose at least one more along the way, but this loss really really stings considering how it transpired.

I feel like the cards have to be absolutely flawless the rest of the way--i don't see that happening.

But then again, like Cronos said, the braves could fall flat on their face.
