Re: Dogs
I had a dream about Dizzy last night. We were at a park, she was running 600 mph and hunkering down into her attack stance when she got to me like she used to do. It only lasted a few seconds, or I can only remember a few seconds, but it was vivid.
I still miss my dog.

Check out this great video footage from Stray Rescue of St. Louis of the 20+ dogs they saved today (including some squee worthy pups)!

Patience, great heart, and don't mind freezing, I'd guess. Didn't it just break your heart over the mom and her puppies in that derelict house with the dog skeleton?Radbird wrote:That was cool, planet! You need a lot of patience to do that job, don't you?

Re: Dogs
That's what every newb foster or rescue volunteer says. Obviously your household can only support so many furry ones. You just want to save them and help them become well adjusted pets for the next person who has room in their home and hearts!Radbird wrote:Yes, that was gruesome. Maybe look into that after retirement to keep me busy - although I'd probably want to bring them all home!
In reference to your patience comment, my friend who rescued the namesakes from the cast of Forrest Gump had to go out there for five straight days in January to earn their trust and get them to find the light. Not an easy task, nor is it an easy task to foster these guys after the fact, but every sweet household animal deserves a decent life.
