Snuggled up against you licking your ear? What in the same bed? Where did you meet this budgy smuggler, at a Maroon 5 concert?

Totally inhaled season 1 of Breaking Bad. After being let down by a few buzz shows (especially Mad Men), it's nice when something lives up to its hype.

I have some good news. Season 1 doesn't really measure up to the rest of the series.MrSaigon wrote:Totally inhaled season 1 of Breaking Bad. After being let down by a few buzz shows (especially Mad Men), it's nice when something lives up to its hype.

I've said it elsewhere. It's a boring show without a single character to root for (Peggy, kind of maybe). My world is full of decent people, and while I watch tv for an escape, maybe Mad Men could have ONE. If there was more agency stuff and less soap opera stuff I might like it better. I love the scenes where Draper is kicking ass at work but then he goes home to engage in dull melodrama with his family and never seem to learn anything morally. It's also pretty heavy-handed with their social critiques of the times ('It's like a dog playing piano!'). And seriously, it's pretty damn soap opera-y. But I seem to be the only person alive of this mind, even among men--which kind of surprises me.InvincibleCakeEater wrote:Let down by Mad Men? FTH?
Seriously, though, that intro song/sequence is one of my favorite ever. Unfortunately it's mostly downhill from there.
Also I don't know what FTH means. Urban dictionary says it's 'expletive that ho'

I've only seen the first half of the first season, but from what I saw I agree. That's why I stopped there. It was just boring to me. Maybe it gets better, but I didn't want to invest the time in it.MrSaigon wrote:I've said it elsewhere. It's a boring show without a single character to root for (Peggy, kind of maybe).
