Robert Thomas will not be available for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final on Wednesday night.
Coach Craig Berube said that Thomas' absence is not related to the hard hit he received in Game 1 against Boston. Thomas didn't participate in Wednesday's morning skate, but he has been absent from plenty of skates since the Western Conference Final due to what is believed to be a wrist issue. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Vince Dunn (upper body) won't be back in the lineup on Wednesday night for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final against Boston.
Dunn was viewed as a possibility to return on Tuesday, but he isn't ready yet. He was on the ice again for the morning skate, but skated as an extra and stayed out late. He is listed as day-to-day.

Robby Fabbri could be in the lineup for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final.
Fabbri may take the place of Robert Thomas, who won't play on Wednesday night against Boston. He has been a placeholder for Thomas at practice, which he was again on Wednesday morning, when the rookie was taking maintenance days. Coach Craig Berube said a decision hasn't been made yet and it will come closer to game time. It will probably be Fabbri or Zach Sanford who gets to play.

When I was on the Jr. Blues, it was for 1/2 a season, and we combined the 15-18 year olds (when I was 15) to make one team (competing against other 18 year olds), so I'm guessing I didn't play with or against him since he would have been 13 then(?). Despite the additional players to choose from, we went something like 2-37-1. This was before St. Louis teams started to get really good. We were not good. At all.

The only NHLers I played with/against that I know of were Mike McKenna (against in high school), Cam Jansen (with in a roller hockey league when I was first starting), and Yan Stastny (he was on my high school team for maybe 3-4 weeks before transferring to another school), and I thought one more guy got a cup of coffee in the NHL but I can't remember. So I played with/against backups and journeymen, but hey, they made the show so good for them! More than I ever did.
So you weren't on this Blues team?

That hit is really sticking in my craw. People are giving it all sorts of credit for firing up the Bruins, yadda yadda. [expletive]. It was textbook charging, and should have been called a penalty. Yes, I know he and Perron were wrestling back in the Blues zone which probably should have had a penalty or two called there. But you can't call something like Sundquist's cross-checking penalty (*cough* dive *cough*), and not call something as blatant as that.

Also the narrative is [expletive]. That was with ~10 minutes left in the game. The Blues had built momentum after that point until the penalty with ~6 minutes to go. It came at the very end of Boston's onslaught from the second period through the beginning of the third.

I'm frustrated with Perron again for his undisciplined antics. That probably means he'll tally two goals tonight.

Re: Thomas, as good as he was vs. Dallas and San Jose, he had a really poor game Monday. I'm not as nervous as I'd usually be with him out. If Fabbri is in, I wonder how much they will mess with the lines.

I juuuust missed the age cutoff.

I'm less nervous than before game 1. I'm guessing that's because down deep I'm expecting a loss tonight whereas last game I was hoping the Blues could sneak in and steal a win.

I am hoping that going back to the place I watched 8 days ago will help restore the mojo tonight and while last time I came through with the hotspot on my phone so we could stream the game while DirecTV was out, tonight I'm bringing a big pretzel in the shape of the Blue Note.

The company bought a bunch of pretzels and stuff along with the Blue Note pretzel and set them out in the cafeteria. I just happened to run into one of the people who were responsible for bringing the pretzels in and she told me to take to share if I was going to be somewhere watching with people so I snatched it!

A storm and I'm going back to the same place I watched the Blues win Game 6 of the Conference Finals? This just seems right.

Betting odds moving bruins way from -160 to -165 with 62 percent betting themon the moneyline. Doesn’t really say much.

Maybe some smart money on the blues puc line bets with only 14% preventing the line from moving more aggressively as it’s only moved from -190 to -180 with 86% coming in on the Bruins

That said, pretty clear joe public is loaded up on the bruins both puc and moneyline. And joe public aren’t the best bettors. But every now and then they do get it right. Hope it’s not tonight. I’d bet on Boston too if I bet blues games even laying -165
