Morey and Barkley going at it. I love Charles and think Morey is way overrated. I think everyone wanted to find a Billy Beane in basketball and Morey's name got pulled from the hat.
It was delicious to watch Aldridge crush Houston with a bunch of nerd-detested shots in the playoffs last year--and just totally abuse whoever had to guard him.
The truth, of course, is that analytics are more important than Barkley lets on. But it's miles away from baseball. It's a much more difficult game to hide value in.
Also kind of funny that Barkley and Morey actually have a lot of common ground wrt jump-shooting.
I love Charles, but listening to him and the rest of the NBA on TNT crew discussing advanced stats is like the scene in Zoolander where they're told the files are in the computer.
LeBron can't dribble. Anyone watching this Cavs/Bulls game? They keep talking about how cold the building is, and the floor. Maybe that's it but I've never seen him do this. He can't put the ball on the floor without kicking it or bumping it or something.
