And if the playoffs started today, we'd play... the Kings.
We're due?
Isn't the playoff structure a bit different this year, to emphasize the first round to be within divison?
The 7 & 8 spots are now wild cards, but does that change from the usual 1 vs. 8 seed, or does it not?
The winners of each division are seeded 1 and 2 based on record. The 1 seed plays the lowest wildcard, 2 plays the highest. The 2nd and 3rd place teams in each division play each other in the first round.

How can the other teams constantly let him get to the middle of the ice like that?

34 goals and counting. I'd love for him to go on a hot streak and hit 40. Has any blue scored 40 since Scott Young in 2000?

4 on 4... they stopped him from getting there all night until there was too much open ice to double team him.

Makes me wonder if he would benefit from swapping out Schwartz and Backes. Move Schwartz up to the first line, keep Lehtera and Tarasenko together, and give them a big body that can clear some space for Vladi to have that extra 2 or 3 ft to work in.

Sure, it's not the STL line anymore, but now it's the BLT line and that's delicious.

That top line would be missing a center though all are defensively responsible enough to make it work.

I'm so [expletive] tired of seeing headlines about Martin St Louis and thinking it's about the Blues. I wish that son of a [expletive] would retire.

Schwartz/Steen were both centers last year, either could step in now.

Then again, we also have a $7M 3rd line C milling about... you could have Schwartz center Berglund (keep him on the wing) and Jaskin and bring Stastny up.

Man, Stastny has been a big disappointment IMO....at least for this year. I was expecting a prominent goal scorer & distributor of the puck. He seems hesitant to shoot the puck, and the great passes have been way too few and far between.

Hopefully, he has another gear he turns it up to in the playoffs & hits the reset button for next year & plays up to his potential.
