You're the only one that mentioned his athletic ability or work ethic. I would assume those are givens. My argument is he was a good college quarterback who benefited from playing on great teams. Florida dominated the SEC, not Tim Tebow. And plenty of other QBs would have achieved the same or better in his place. But because he had the media and Jesus on his side he is THEGREATESTCOLLEGEPLAYEREVAR and worthy of being drafted way too high because intangibles can help throw a deep out route on time and on target.

I think the consensus here (GRB) is that nobody really likes him (except you and I)........ or at least that's the impression that I get. I guess there's not much middle ground, you either really like him or really dislike him. I can "kinda" see why people question his football ability, but I'm not sure what's not to like about him, as a person.

For every person that likes him for his outspoken religious convictions, there's at least one person who is going to find that off-putting. I've already said I don't dislike him personally. I just don't understand why a third string quarterback warrants constant discussion on ESPN. He's like Joba Chamberlain to the hundredth power.

I also don't understand why there's so much fascination with him. But it's not like he's begging for the attention.

Yeah, putting yourself in a Super Bowl commercial is a good way to avoid attention. No one watches that.

That was pre-NFL. As a college athlete, I can absolutely understand why there was so much fascination with him. He did things that no other college football player had done.

His college career was done at that point.

I thought you said his team went 9-4 the year he won the Heisman. They must not have been that "great".

Listen, I don't know how good he'll be. I like his work ethic, I like his positive attitude........... and obviously as a Broncos fan, I'm going to have fun rooting for him. And yeah, he was probably drafted too high. You can blame that on Josh McDaniels, not Tim Tebow.

I swear, so many Christians are just in love with this idea that they are being victimized by society. I guess because we only reluctantly agree to turn their religious views into law.

Well, I guess guilty as charged. When I call him annoying, a lot of it is because of the wearing of his religious views on his sleeve/cheeks. Those of us who are not Christian are supposed to be OK with the constant in-your-faceness of Christianity - from the mega churches, to the crosses on prominent hill tops, to 'John 3:16' on every golf/football/etc. telecast, to billboards on the highway telling me I'm going to hell. This isn't even including the stranger at the door and the 'friends' who want to make sure even if I seem to be an OK person I'm going to hell and they are concerned.

I mean if the Buddhists or Muslims were as 'out there' as the Christians it would get ugly quick both in the halls of congress and on main street.

And then the absurdity of being accused of attempts at repression when such in-your-faceness is brought up. Total hypocrisy.

For chrissake - if you choose to be a Christian that is fine by me. Worship in the way you see fit. But keep it to yourself like I keep my views to myself.
