But Oli used them in high leverage situations and went to his best option with the game on the line. That’s good managing.

They are 7 pitchers deep and it’s not even the ninth inning. Eventually, you’ve gotta trust someone and risk taking the L. It’s not Game 7 of the LCS.

The Mariners are on their fourth pitcher and they actually have a major league starting rotation, so they won’t have to cover 12-15 outs every day.
