Yup, wheels fell off the bus for poor Craig. Only managed a .718 OPS at Pawtucket, presumably back up with roster expansion. Shame.

I saw something recently that Scoscia was saying that Albert's foot was bothering him again. I feel bad for him.

The plantar fasciitis has really cost him....these last 6 years are going to be painful to watch.

I still love TLR's intro of So Taguchi at the 2006 WS celebration. "I am a personal friend of SO TAGUCHI!" :-)

Red Sox president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski said Tuesday that trading Allen Craig would be "an ideal scenario."
Of course it would be. However, Dombrowski acknowledged that unloading Craig is going to be difficult. The 31-year-old has hit just .206 with a .571 OPS in 593 plate appearances at the major league level since the start of 2014. He's still owed $9 million in 2016 and $11 million in 2017, with a $1 million buyout on a club option for 2018.

INF Brendan Ryan exercised his $1 million player option for 2016.
Ryan will be back for his fourth season with the Yankees. The skilled defender was limited to just 47 games in 2015 due to injury and batted just .229/.275/.333 over 103 plate appearances. But his mustache was pretty cool.

Adron Chambers has received a 50-game suspension for a second positive test for a drug of abuse.
Chambers, who previously appeared in the majors with the Cardinals, played with the Cubs' Triple-A affiliate this past season where he batted .280/.358/.375 with one home run and 30 RBI over 88 games. The 29-year-old will now get a late start on his 2016 campaign.

So, does this mean that Adron Chambers, without performance enhancers, is the outfield equivalent of Barney Fife on The Andy Griffith Show?
