I question the fashion choices for work by the kids fresh out of college.

I question some of the fashion choices by kids that have been out of college for a while now these days.

Speaking of which, if you are a man over the age of 30, it's time to stop carrying a backpack. I see all these grown men commuting to work with huge backpacks on. What do you have in there, your Biology, English, History, and Math textbooks? You're a grown man commuting to work at 8:30am on the train. You're not on the way to high school and your giant backpack is taking up this whole train car. Stop it already.

A laptop is the answer. I wear this one.

I use a backpack but I can start switching to the laptop bag a little more frequently now. The reason I carry a backpack is because from the end of April until the third weekend of August, I'm carrying my work laptop, personal tablet plus my change of clothes for softball along with my glove and cleats two or three days a week and it is easier to just use the backpack every day instead of constantly swapping things out. Plus, if I want to stop at the store on the way home, it is much easier with the backpack. Normally when I stop at a grocery store I just buy a few things that I need for the next couple of days and it always fits in the backpack which is much easier than carrying multiple shopping bags the rest of the way home on the bus. So... yeah, I'm going to carry the backpack the majority of the time whether anybody approves or not!

I've hit people with it. It's a fair complaint.

Shoulder laptop bags are terrible and uncomfortable. They're particularly lousy during the winter with ice everywhere and it's sliding around your body.

Your bag at least looks like it has a slim profile. I'm talking about guys with a backpack projecting two feet into the air behind them. It's nuts.
