To be fair to Duncan, it DOES look like all the rookies are making defensive lapses, not just Duncan...

The ideal situation with Duncan is to keep him at AAA and let him get his experience there. We'd need to get another good OPS guy to play the outfield for a year or two though.

That is a good point, but making routine catches in the outfield is still a far cry from making snap decisions on throws in the infield.

It's not like he's misjudging line drives...he's screwing up easy popups and flyouts that he's not even having to track side to side.

What? He obviously needs work in the outfield. I am not saying punt him or anything.

Duncan IS a natural first baseman though. Give him a little time in the outfield and I think he'll be leaps and bounds above Manny (maybe  )

It's the one handed catches that are inexcusable in my book. If he wants to be a full time outfielder, he needs to drop that habit and fast.

You don't waste that bat in AAA when you need it as bad as we do. No freakin' way.

He's a rookie. He'll get better. And he was never this bad in left. To me this is just is silly to me as the suggestion to send Reyes back to AAA, he's not gonna learn anything more down there.

The ideal situation would 3 shutout innings... I'll care about what to do with Duncan later
