Can't believe I am not going to get to watch the Spurs Warriors game. No stream, at least none I can find.

Dang, 30 pt dismantling of the Spurs. That's mighty impressive, even considering old man Duncan day this one out.

This already exists, NBA players. It's called the Harlem Globetrotters. These AAU pageant children are going to make this whole goddam thing meaningless.

It's already pretty meaningless. The midway point of the season was like 2 weeks ago right? At that point, with half a season and all of the playoffs to go, what odds would you put on one of the Warriors, Spurs, or Cavs winning the title. 90%? 95? 98? Do that thought exercise with other sports and the top few teams and it's not even close. Part of that is because the NBA does the 'best' job of avoiding upsets in the playoffs, but mostly because the regular season is pretty much meaningless.

This really does piss me off, on a selfish level. I have this deep, bitter, burning desire to see the Blazers win a championship. Forgive some hyperbole here: I need it to be whole. Now if I ever get it, it will be because three guys who didn't lose a basketball game from age 6-18 would rather not risk losing than prove anything by joining hands in Portland.
That's a different sport.

99.9% Gotta leave that decimal point for the chance that there's a gas explosion at the all-star game and the Blazers win because Lillard got jobbed again.Transmogrified Tiger wrote:What odds would you put on one of the Warriors, Spurs, or Cavs winning the title. 90%? 95? 98?

What enjoyment would there even be in Durant doing that? I mean, what does it prove when you join the best team in the NBA, and they're still nothing more than the best team in the NBA?? How is that enjoyable for players OR fans?
Mr.Saigon is right. The system sucks.
