You go to some of the hockey forums for Blues and it's like the sky is falling and the team is 4 points out of the playoffs. It's ridiculous.

We're experiencing one of the best stretches of hockey this organization has ever had. I've never seen this combination of depth and young talent on the team. Sure we've had really good teams in the last 20 years but never to the level of consistency and potential that this team has had the last 2-3 years.

I worry it still might not be enough to win a cup, but man, I want to appreciate how good this team is while I still have the chance.

Adam Cracknell is back. For what, or why, I don't know.

Some on LGB guessing/hoping its a buildup towards a bigger move. I'm guessing its just depth for the playoffs. Someone they know that knows the system.

Some people over there were hoping we would trade Bergy for Jagr, in order to remove his salary from the books next year for Tarasenko. Too little, too late.

The Blues have acquired D-man Michalek from Phoenix. He's still recovering from a concussion but should be good to go soon.

Very good defensive D-man. They also got a conditional 3rd round pick, which I'm guessing is based on how many games he played.

Gave up Letunov to get him. Long-term prospect with plenty of potential, but he's rail thin now and years away.

Blues also sent Ian Cole to Pittsburgh for Robert Bortuzzo. Pretty lateral move.

They also got Olli Jokinen for a conditional 6th. Probably just a depth move, but if he can give us some insight into Nashville, it'll help.

I'm immediately out of my depth in a hockey thread, but that Leafs/Panthers highlight I just watched on SportsCenter was something else.

Nashville has lost four straight now. I've been saying they peaked too early. Hopefully it takes them a while to snap out of this funk.

Thankfully Nashville has decided to tank at the same time the Blues have decided to go into a little slump of their own.

On a positive note, my wife & I are heading down to the Peabody to watch the Pavol Dimitria movie!
