I don't have a picture for this thread. But, I was at the game tonight.
First of all, can the fans (at least in my section) be MORE ignorant? It was 0-0 through 5 + innings, and these people were basically saying that OUR SEASON WAS OVER. I swear, I was the only one clapping throughout that entire time (sorry, I watch every pitch and actually pay attention to the game. That is what you pay to see right?).
Jimmy Edmonds (sorry Elphie):
I'm won't say anything about that one slip and catch he made, but another one in the sixth, reiterated something that I had been thinking: He has lost quite a few steps. Yes, he made both catches. But I have to say that he misjudged both fly balls. The second one, which would be routine to JE two years ago, he took two steps backward! I played CF (yes I know, not in the majors) for a long time. BOTH of his misplays, which yes, resulted in outs, were terrible reads off the bat by JE.
Don't want to hear crap about the lights anymore. The Mets have to deal with the lights too.
Yes, we have a slight OF problem. Loop didn't throw bad. WE HAVE TO HIT THE BALL, AND HAVE IT BE PRODUCTIVE!
