Nice. How do you like it? There's some crazy gut wrenching stuff in that show. In every season.
I think it's awesome. Season 3 finished w/ some Amazing, amazing scenes.

This girl that I was dating was mad that we didn't hang out that much (totally different work schedules) and I was kinda done with it - but it's a circle of friends from hs and she was really into it, so I didn't want to be the bad guy. Anyway, two nights ago when I canceled plans to hang out because I was "tired" (actually wanted to watch SoA), she went to a friend's house, got drunk and sent me a flurry of texts culminating with her dumping me. Couldn't have worked out better.

I kinda hate Henry Rollins the actor, but he fits that role perfectly. I'm right in the middle of season 2 right now.

So you're saying there's a chance!

The Killing is the definition of Slow Burn. I think Stan behind bars is a neat twist. And Linden finally getting around to looking at actual evidence is very telling.

I wish they would have fleshed this out better, but it reads that Linden can't let go, can't let another young girl die without justice. So much that she would abandon her fiancee, neglect her own child, chase after half-truths and endanger an innocent man. It's a little too subtle, but it's still a nice reveal I think.

The Killing is really 24 for crime mystery buffs. The story-telling is maddening, and the plot holes are tiresome. But if you're a 24 fan you have to be honest with yourself: 24 had the same issues.

I think you kind of hinted at it Cole, but we also learn that Linden
[SHOW]
checked herself into a mental hospital at some point, likely due to stress/exhaustion.
I still feel bad for Stan. I'm not saying he didn't deserve what he got, but there's no way he would have done what he did if Mitch didn't make him feel guilty. He's not a totally sympathetic character, but he is in part (really, the only totally sympathetic character in the show is the two boys).

Game of Thrones chatter:

Holy heaving ballsacks did Khal Drogo's war speech kick all sorts of ass. Just awesome. The girls getting it on in front of Littlefinger was very, very nice, but went on so damn long with zero plot development except to hear him say "I want everything."

Don't worry about Jon, as they said in the episode, his placement directly with Lord Mormont is not punishment. Ned continues to be Mr Stubborn, Gullible, and Honorable, and unfortunately it's finally getting him into trouble in Kings Landing. Winter is Coming for the Starks.

That's the biggest appeal for me. No one on the show is totally sympathetic. They all have something that makes you look at them twice, suspect them, or pity them maybe. Mitch with her irrational neglect of her kids...Stan with his mob background...Holder with his AA problems. Even the councilman is more and more like a dirty politician each episode.

If the payoff after the reveal was some sort of metaphysical "They were all responsible for Rosie's death in some way," that would be a bit saccharine for me. But I think the threads of the story are going towards a "We all have a killing in our lives, that dark closet where we keep stuff, and the consequences can be deadly."

But then again, I'm a fan of Scandinavian crime dramas.

Was anyone else getting tired of Mitch like i was? Every time i saw her it made me cringe. It seemed like she added nothing to the show. all she did was piss me off and this latest development only made it worse.

I'm too lazy to see if i mentioned it here, but my original theory was that this was some sort of mob hit. That looks like the direction in which this is going.

Anyway, i too was getting bored with the show but this week's episode was a good one.

Anybody know where I can find the original Danish version? Netflix is a strike out.

Also, any Wallander stuff (BBC or Swedish). Caught a BBC adaptation on a flight last year and loved it.

Sorry about the break up, but you're getting ready for some meaty awesomeness in Sons...
