I'm really disappointed by the lyrics, which I think has always been AF's sneaky strength. The back half of the album has some good stuff.

It's an arcade fire album, so it's at least kinda interesting. I would give it a try. I'm going to give this album some more time, but my snap judgement is mostly negative.

If you haven't seen a Lyle Lovett concert, you should.

This has to be the worst Arcade Fire song ever created:

If you can make it all the way through you're a stronger person than I am.

I'm always like a year behind the times but I really like the album I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It by The 1975.

(this video starts out with some weird black and white art film - skip to the 3:00 mark for the start of the song):

Is that Arcade Fire song supposed to be intentionally bad?

The 3 songs they pre-released (Everything Now, Signs of Life, and Creature Comfort) are fantastic. Creature comfort is up there Sprawl II in how much I like it. Literally everything else is unlistenable, self indulgent, coked-out trash.

I'm less enthusiastic about Everything Now and Signs of Life than a lot of people on here.

Musically, Creature Comfort is a strong track, but the lyrics are bad to the point of being distracting. The central theme of this album appears to be "old man yelling at a cloud".

We Don't Deserve Love is one of the better efforts. That said, I don't think any of the best songs on this album remotely reach highs of their previous efforts.
