I think he would've been my 3rd choice after Marshall and Crean. I don't think the former was interested and I have no idea about the latter.

[expletive] Clay Travis.

Sounds like Michael Porter, Sr. will join Martin's staff. HELLOOOOO Michael Porter, Jr.!

If they land Porter, then I'm all in on the hire. Martin and Crean are pretty similar but Martin still has room to grow. Crean has had all the chances in the world and not done much with it. I think Martin is as good as a Mizzou fan could reasonably expect given the state of the program.

As an Arkansas fan I love the Cuonzo hire for Mizzou

martin will bring stability to the program, but that's about it. I'd temper expectations

Crean's a terrible in-game coach; he can recruit some ultra-talented players but they don't ever seem to fit a "system". His whole career is pretty much built on Dwayne Wade.

That said I don't know much about Martin so I can't say how much of an improvement he is.

This. and my lack of knowledge did not prevent me from entering 3 entries into the office pool, with no teams making multiple appearances in my 3 final fours.
