I live like right down the street from an Oklahoma Joe's but have only ever eaten there once, and I only happened to even be there because me and my friend, in the role of wingman, were trying to find a girl that worked there that I wanted to bang. I don't even remember how the food was, I guess I should go back...

And it was four years ago. I mean, I know the food was good, I just don't remember any particulars beyond that in comparison to Gates, Jack Stack, etc. I'll be home in a couple of weeks to work a couple of shifts, though, so I'll make a point of hitting it up. I'm down at that intersection all the time to dick around at Best Buy or whatever.

Also, I've never been to Arthur Bryant's which seems to be the favorite of most.

Arthur Bryant's and Gates are pretty much the same to me. You get a ton of food but it's just mediocre and you spend the same money you would at a better place. I've heard good things about Jack Stack but never been. That Oklahoma Joe's by you is way better than the one in Mission that's in a gas station. Well, the food is the same but the line goes way faster. I've stood in line for almost an hour before at the Mission one.

LC's is also really good but it's a long way from you out south of Kaufmann stadium.

I've been to the one in Mission, and the food was great; I wish I'd picked up some of the sauce when I was there. Go there at 4:30 on a Monday and you don't have to wait (not that anybody under 60 is likely to be looking for supper that early with any regularity).

I've only been to Jack Stack once, the ribs were great. That's all I can vouch for. They damn well better have been at those prices though.

I've been to the one in Mission, and the food was great; I wish I'd picked up some of the sauce when I was there. Go there at 4:30 on a Monday and you don't have to wait (not that anybody under 60 is likely to be looking for supper that early with any regularity).

I've tried several different odd times and the best I've ever done was a fifteen minute wait walking in mid-week 10 minutes before they say they close. I'm not a big BBQ sauce guy at all (I like to judge the quality of the BBQ without it) but theirs is pretty good.
