Honestly, I've looked at your avatar hundreds of times and never once thought that...then, all of a sudden the Cards lose in horribly depressing fashion and, bam, there it is...giant phallas.

I'm going to try hard not to think about what that says about me.

The Freudian psychologist in me is chuckling.

Some very funny things on this thread, folks.

Then again, maybe there isn't really much difference between having the surgery now and having the surgery a couple of weeks from now. Provided he's not in danger of making things worse by playing.

Shouldn't Duncan just have his surgery now?
They won't shut Pujols down until he reaches 100 RBI. And even then, they'll only shut him down if he says "Yes".

With Duncan, they're giving him 10 days of inactivity, because at the end of 10 days, they want to re-evaluate. If he can go at that time, fine. If he can't, then he'll have the surgery. From my understanding (and Will Carroll would be the guy to ask), Duncan having the surgery now versus 1 month from now will not affect his ST availability.

But I did hear, in his next contract, he will be prohibited from humping any inanimate objects, which would obviously include past or future World Series trophies.

If I can make it back to the US in time for the start of the game tonight, I promise the Cardinals can win. And I promise they can keep winning. I stopped in at a local fortune teller. I asked her to predict the game. She said:

Cardinals - 5
Cubs - 3

Pujols will homer. Wainwright will go 7, 6 hits, 3 r, 2 er, 1 BB, 5 K.

She was vague but said a superstar on the rise will overcome recent obstacles to make an impact on this game.

I must go. The guards are coming. Wish me luck, boys.
She was close.
The game winner scored 5 runs.
Pujols homered.
Wainwright 7.0, 5H, 2R, 2ER, 2BB, 3K
I can only assume you didn't quite make it to the US.
Godspeed.
This message will self destruct in 10, 9...

At least they put up a fight in the end.

Ugh. What a miserable last week.
