Are we looking at a 15 inning marathon? It seems like both teams are offensively futile.

Edit: Thanks, Nady, nothing like first pitch swinging to let Thompson pitch a few more innings. And Ricky Horton thinks Adam Wainwright could be a pinch hitter if necessary.

am i the only one that thinks this cold streak isn't an "accident" so to speak regarding pujols? there's gotta be something wrong in his mechanics, approach, or something, thats not getting the job done. The best hitter in the game just doesnt hit THIS poorly for THIS long... i dont think... :-\

It can happen, I'm not worried about it. He might be pressing a little bit.

I haven't seen every atbat, but what I have seen it seems to me like he's trying to pull everything. He is a great opp. field hitter when he's going well.

I trust that he'll be alright. On the other hand, to expect .330/40 HR/130 RBI/120 R every single year is a pretty high standard. No other player ever has done it like Albert in his first six years. Is he going to do it every season?

I thought Thompson looked terrible. Never have I seen so many hanging pitches popped up or swung through.
