These are both accurate descriptions.

Have you ever been curious how the lead singer of Katrina and the Waves reacted to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina? I am here to help you.
"The first time I opened the paper and saw 'Katrina kills 9,' it was a bit of a shock. ... I hope that the true spirit of 'Walking on Sunshine' will prevail. I would hate for the title to be tinged with sadness, and I will have to do my own part to help turn that around."

KISSIMMEE, Fla. • The last time the Cardinals and reliever Pat Neshek talked about his contract last season was before he appeared in the All-Star Game in July, and by August it was clear to the reliever that he would be pitching elsewhere come 2015.

Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak told him he had “a lottery ticket.”

Another team would have to scratch it.

“He kept saying ‘lottery ticket’ and ‘we’re not going to be able to sign you back,’” said Neshek on Tuesday, standing near his locker in his new clubhouse, the Houston Astros’ clubhouse. “Which, you know, you kind of go, ‘What the heck? You’re the Cardinals.’ They’re not a small market. I don’t care what anybody says. Every game there is packed and it’s a baseball atmosphere. In one sense it was kind of disappointing, but he knew it. He saw better. He could do something cheaper and try to get better. I see where they’re coming from. It was a good run. It worked out for everybody.”

The Cardinals never tabled a formal offer to Neshek, and Mozeliak was candid at the start of the offseason when he said Neshek could find a better deal from another team.

He certainly did.

Seems like Mo was really upfront with him. I respect that and so should Pat.

That first part kind of looks like sour grapes, but shoot man....it's not like he was stringing you along.

Hey, you're going to get a big contract from someone, but it won't be us Seems to be about the most upfront, honest, best approach to the situation for everyone....

I like Neshek a lot, and I wouldn't have minded seeing him come back. But I doubt he was taking a discount. He shouldn't have. He needs to get as much as possible while he can.

I'm sure he's sad he's on the Astros and not the Cardinals, but who wouldn't be? He'll get traded to another contender at some point.

As I've said before, this is completely irrational, but I was ready for Neshek to go after he gave up that homer in Game 6. Wainwright battles for seven innings, leaves with a 3-2 lead, Neshek comes in, boom.

More rationally, as we all know relievers are fungible and paying top dollar for a guy like Pat Neshek probably isn't a good idea.
