This is different than last year with us and his history with the Red Sox.
Wonder if it’s due to an obv perceived need with Gorman and saggesse’s struggles and a need for a good RH platoon bat there?

Blaze Jordan is probably much more ready for a call-up than Baez.cardsfantx wrote: ↑May 30 26, 11:53 amThe prob need to, as Burly is batting .308 against RHP and .203 against LHP….and a .907 OPS against RHP and a .490 OPS vs LHPCardsofSTL wrote: ↑May 30 26, 10:34 amThat plus they don't really want to platoon Burleson.cardsfantx wrote: ↑May 30 26, 8:32 amSomething I just noticed about blaze jordan (besides obv his great numbers), is he’s played more than double his games at 3b this year, as opposed to 1b. Currently Blaze has only 22 K's in 211 PA, with 9 HR's, a .332 BA, and rockin an OPS of .948!
Would seem he would at least make better contact than Gorman without losing power.

Re: Minor League News 2026
Ambidextrous prospect Jurrangelo Cijntje has spent most of this season pitching right-handed for Double-A Springfield. But batters still need to be prepared to see the lefty version, too. Wichita’s Garrett Spain was reminded of that on Saturday.
Cijntje (St. Louis’ No. 4 prospect / MLB's No. 86 overall) faced Spain twice and struck him out both times -- once with his left arm and once with his right arm.

Jeff Jones:
Lars Nootbaar is set for nine innings in the field at Memphis tonight and tomorrow and is a live option to be in the Cardinals lineup on Friday.
Marmol said the hope is for Nathan Church to be at Memphis Thursday with Urías following quickly behind him.
