Quite the machine, but I'd still prefer something street legal like the La Ferrari. I guess if you have the coin for the FXX-K you have plenty of options in your garage anyway.

Nice that they just deliver the car to the track w/ a Ferrari race team ready to go in case something goes wrong. Ahhh, what life must be like when you can buy 3 million dollar cars.

Seems like I'm seeing a lot of loaded Jeep Rubicons and Wrangler's lately. Females dig them. I live in millennial land now, and every suburban young person needs a vehicle they can take off road and into the woods.

maybe a tad jealous here. but then again, last time I was in one it drove like [expletive].

The two thing Wrangler's have going for them is they would be fun to have in the summer, and they have a high resale value....but be sure to take advantage of the latter before they break down left and right because they have terrible reliability ratings in EVERY published car magazine.

My first car was a 88 Wrangler (in 2001) and I loved it. Totally uncomfortable and impractical but so much fun to own.

I'd definitely be interested in getting one, but they're so overpriced and everyone [expletive] has one. I was back in IL for a wedding and visiting my grandparents. My broke ass cousin who I know for a fact makes way less money than I do rolls up in a heavily modded Rubicon Wrangler and I was just blown away. I've talked myself out of buying one at least a dozen times because they're too expensive and she rolls up in $40-50 grand of Jeep.

I camp. I go overlanding. She goes to work and back. I don't get it. Get a Civic if all you do is commute.

I suspect the up-sales and add-ons to these could be extensive. Not just the hard top, but stars on the wheel cover, cow catcher, customized cover for the spare. strap-on penis.

Karp, do you think the resale market could become more of a buyers market in about 3-5 years? Seems like drivers I see are the type that roll into whatever is "in" every few years.

Jeep Wrangler's will always be popular because they're kinda in a category by themselves. People either love Jeep's or most of they time they're not a fan at all. I think it would be cool to have an OLDER Jeep, but like you said there's TONS of the new ones out there and even when modified they look similar to each other. But to answer your question to I think it'll be a buyers market on Jeeps in a few years, probably not....I think they'll always hold their resale value pretty well, even being known as a fairly unreliable vehicle.

They hold their value VERY well. They're like Subarus in that regard. At least up here in the Twin Cities, it is damn near impossible to find a Wrangler for under $10k that doesn't have 200k+ miles. Or even 150k+ miles.

Jeep is coming out with a wrangler pickup next year that I am intrigued by. That and the new Bronco.

Those concept Bronco's (which at this point should be pretty close to what the real thing looks like) are sweet. Of course I love the old school Bronco's from the 70's too.

Expect a hefty price tag for those new Bronco's though.

In the past, I was unfortunately always kind of an anti-American car guy just because of the cheap finishes and constant unreliability, but they've come a long way over the past decade.

The Big 3 put out some pretty solid cars these days and the fit/finish rival that of their European and Japanese competitors (when it comes to vehicles that don't push the 80k + threshold) for the most part. There's the flagship vehicles for those companies that top out for those automakers but they are few and far between & the European market just outclasses most American cars in that arena.

One new car I just love the styling of is the new Lexus LC 500, and it sure seems to have the performance numbers to match.
