Even if we protect 'em from the Rule 5 draft, the Padres will find another way to get what they want from the Cardinals. No one is safe from the Padres!

He (Mayers) did well after moving full-time to relief and also was good in the off-season.

he's garbage
i'd rather see the guy on the 40 man who's a year younger and just started pitching a couple years ago, that throws upper 90's and strikes out more than a batter per inning...i'd like to see how that guy develops in a year or so
