I personally think seat belt laws are pretty stupid. Yes, there should be laws requiring adults to make sure minors are buckled in, but for adults, if you choose not to buckle you seat belt, that's your decision, and it can only harm yourself, not others. How about our police officers focus on serious matters that actually affect the innocent than having them sit in medians and try to peek into windows to make sure everybody has a seat belt on.heyzeus wrote:There are a lot of Ron Paulies in Texas. Some of them believe in a more limited government that focuses its resources on domestic issues, and wants less taxes and bureaucracy. Others believe that the seatbelt laws and fluoridation of drinking water is part of a government conspiracy to enslave the populace. This vehicle, I dare say, belongs to the latter camp.PujolJunkie wrote:I have no idea. But they want seat belt laws repealed. Are there seriously people who want that?Jocephus wrote:of course it's in a walmart parking lot...though i can't tell what persuasion the owner of that vehicle is...heyzeus wrote:AMERICA! And apparently smoking is healthier than fascism. I don't understand how to make that comparison work.
I never thought of it that way. Thank you.Jocephus wrote:it would a/effect others if you didn't wear a belt, got in an accident, flew through your windshield and into the other persons windshield thus stabbing the other driver in the gut with your head
