Try the Lagunitas IPA Maximus if you haven't already, really good stuff.

I need to have a GRB Island of Misfit Beers Party to get rid of some of these:

ska blond
Bells Winter white
A New Glarus Imperial Weizen,
Berghoff something
Leinenkugal something.
And plenty of Busch, Bud Select, and Corona that Mrs. Freed buys but nobody ever drinks.

Bringing my home brew batch of Bavarian Weizen to the family xmas party tonight. It's probably the most delicious beer of its kind I've ever had.

Aah yes. The Cheesehead relatives came through for the holidays with the gift that keeps on giving -New Glarus beer.

The best way to describe it -Comfort beer. Especially this time of year - with the darker varieties, Back 40 Bock, Road Slush Stout, were new excellent beers for me. Fat Squirrel Nut Brown is still great. There is something for the whole clan to like in the variety pack, from the Moon Man (IPA-ish), to the top notch Pilsner Two Women, and the mainstay Spotted Cow.

As my wise brother said, "We may be getting poorer, but the beer we are drinking keeps getting richer."

Interesting list. I've only tried the New Belgium Snow Day so far.

The Samuel Smith Winter Welcome is pretty good but I've had many winter beers I've like better. Great bottle though.

I just had some of this and the taste was not only great but less filling.
