My excitement is a bit more tempered. As a fan of the Blazers I stood to gain (ultimately) from the players losing big. Need to see details.

Ready for back-to-back-to-backs? I can't wait til we get to play the day's-rested Lakers in LA on the third night of our back-to-back-to-back.

It'll be really interesting to see coaching responses. Young, deep teams get a little advantage over the course of th e season. Of course, my homerism states that our Bulls are well-built for this, as the 2nd unit (assuming about the same team, rumors of TMac replacing Bogans' minutes) is arguably the best in the league.

I assume they'll work it so both teams will be on these B2B2B games right? If one team is fresh, that'd just be some bollocks.

It's not really overblown, but it's the first time they've had to do 3-nights-in-a-row since 1999, which will probably get a lot of press once it's an issue.

Damnitall but I can't find the realGM article and/or post that showed the increase of games per week. It's significant, compared to baseball, with as much more as these guys have to work. That said, I think it's great. Let's see these teams work their asses off during the regular season.

Would this compressed schedule work well for the Bulls? Seems like a high energy guy like D Rose benefits from having as many off days as possible.

On NBA TV it said they'll have (iirc) 3.9 games a week. Typically it's 3.4. So yeah, overblown.
