Word clouds for all NBA teams. More minutes, bigger name. I thought it was interesting.

D Rose is pulling just ahead of Fred Hoiberg.

Wow, the Blazers are awful. Roy, the one guy who doesn't just shoot jumpers (that includes our 'power' forward) can't drive anymore. Except for Matthews, who is quite loveable, no one shoots free throws. Eventually all those jumpers are going to start clanging like they have the last four consecutive fourth quarters. 4-20 in the fourth tonight.
Roy had a long break looked good his first night back, okay his second night back, and not even decent tonight with a game against Boston tomorrow.

Well I guess that LeBron coming back to Cleveland was a flop. Miami is up 88-50 in the 3rd quarter. Lebron has 31 points.

Is Carlos Boozer going to be any [expletive] good? God damn it.

It's basically the second game of his preaseason, and they got to play the two best teams in the East, neither of which they match up to well at all. Don't worry about it. The Bulls look just like they should - a 4th or 5th seed in the East, a team that will beat Philly and Atlanta and Milwaukee, but get exposed by strong paint defense from Boston and the in-and-out nightmare matchup in Orlando.
I'm currently concerned with how Noah got his ass kicked in so royally by Howard, then Rose looking very listless against Rondo.
ps, Deng had his 5th 5-for-13 shooting night of the year. Weird.

Yeah. He's not a great defender though, so that won't change.jim wrote:Is Carlos Boozer going to be any [expletive] good? God damn it.
Noah has always, and will always get pushed around like he's on ice skates by strong centers. Lucky for him, there's maybe 3-4 guys like that in the league. Howard's really the only good one.Maclowery wrote:I'm currently concerned with how Noah got his ass kicked in so royally by Howard
These two points are related. Boston is the best defensive team in the league because KG guards the post by himself and the rest of the players are elite at denying perimeter players entry into the lane. To beat them, you have to have three point shooters and perimeter jump shooters. Rondo is probably the best man defender in the league and without someone like Deng or Korver knocking down perimeter jumpers, he's going to force Derrick into over dribbling and taking bad shots.Maclowery wrote: Rose looking very listless against Rondo.

These are two superior teams and beat us the way they beat most teams. We need a shooting guard that can catch and shoot 3's, handle the ball and doesn't demand a lot of the ball. Jason Richardson or OJ Mayo would be fantastic additions to the team and help us get over on these superior teams.
The bigger issue in the Boston and Magic games was the first quarter defense. Giving up huge early leads allows the opponent to manage their star's minutes, dictate the pace of the game and force the Bulls into expending huge energy on defense. This is still a new system for these guys and after two years of no coaching, they are going to have their struggles on defense. It's still a work in progress and I still believe we are the third best team in the East, behind not-coincidentally, the two teams we just lost to.

Are Rondo and Roy the only two good ballers to come out of the 06 draft?

Rudy Gay's overrated (nowhere near worth the max contract he got), but he's probably due to make an ASG at some point.lukethedrifter wrote:Are Rondo and Roy the only two good ballers to come out of the 06 draft?

Re: NBA 10-11
The only thing worse than the absurd lack of calls for D Rose is the Bulls FT shooting.
