Some say that Jason Kendall's horrific broken leg injury was the Baseball Gods' way of saying catchers shouldn't be 6'-0", 180#. Verily, Kendall was punished, banished to the wilderness of LF, only to return when the Baseball Gods also agreed that LF's shouldn't have a sub-50% stolen base success rate.

I said this in September 2025 (humble brag)
I still don’t think he sticks behind the plate. It doesn’t look good imo.

well it's wrong lol
his release is lightning quick behind the plate; he's not yadi (no one is), but his release is elite and I've seen him throw out quite a few in games. Nothing about his throwing motion is long.
throwing out 30% as a 19 year old against older/faster AA players is pretty damn good.
he also blocks very well

We will see how it pans out. If they let him play catcher or not in the bigs.

I think catcher is fine. He looks like a catcher to me. Either 1st or 3rd, which I've seen proposed, I'm less confident.

Hey Pablo Sandoval played 3b, so ya never know
Now is the time to learn it/try it out now, while on the minors
None of this, let’s give it a shot in the bigs
If he can handle it, great. If not, the bat plays splitting time at C/DH
