This is the thread I remember from him, in which he discussed the sudden death of one of his professors: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=42645

Re: Cronos passed away
I just held my own personal moment of silence for Cronos. So long for just a while, good sir.
His passing makes me wonder: How would anyone on here know if I passed on? I don't think anyone would.
In all seriousness, I should probably write a letter to be read upon my passing that helps my survivors wrap up/shut down my e-mails/social accounts. That seems like the right thing to do.

You guys will know I'm dead if anyone asks a question about fly fishing and I don't respond within a week.

If anyone wants to befriend me on Facebook or gchat or whatever, send me a pm. I like chatting with folks and knowing y'all. I'm really sad today.

I'm really sad to hear this. Cronos was a guy who was always willing to be vulnerable. That's an undervalued, powerful trait in our bizarre modern world. I saw a bit of myself in him in the sensitivity. But he was way more courageous than I am. The way he shared, and the fact that he met so many of you IRL. He was a guy, I feel, who was 'RL' here in the forum. Heart's out to his family and friends, and you all here.
RIP.
RIP.

Man that's really hard to hear. He was way too young. I know there were several times in my drunk-posting-phase where he sent me encouraging PMs that I really appreciated at the time. We're all definitely worse off not having him around

Really sad to hear that. Got in lots of silly gameday arguments with him that sure don't matter.
My condolences to those who were close to him.

Stunned. This news makes me incredibly sad. I hope his family can somehow find comfort.

We could all use some silly gameday arguments that don't matter right now, amiright?
