Re: 12 MORE DAYS
Mike and I are the rookies on this trip, three other couples have been doing this trip for several years now. Mike and I are bringing a bit more "Cousin Eddy" vibe to the group. One of the guys going was the guy that almost got into the fight with the Food Network guy at Eat Rite if you remember that story from last fall.

Re: 12 MORE DAYS
It was Brad Orrison.

Actually it wasn't this Orrison guy, he was actually pretty cool. It some douche bag ex-con friend of his. I made a joke about the cooks looking like they just got out of jail, and this douche bag went off on me because he just got out. So instead of just letting it go like I was doing my friend proceeded to lecture the guy on how he probably deserved it, he shouldn't have done what he did, and it just went on and on and both were drunk and not willing to back down.
You know, just the typical Saturday night stuff.
Problem is, we are going to have having an entire week of Saturday night stuff in a country where the judicial system assumes guilt and you have to prove your innocence.

If it were my wife I could understand it, these are my friends (they have been to this place before). I'm just trying to figure out when they became the type of people to own "something nice". Those are not the northenders I grew up with.Freed Roger wrote:My wife always plays up the -you'll need something nice /dress code thing. It's funny how the dress codes disappear and those things are still in the suitcase unworn when we go home.jim wrote:[expletive] that freed I had to buy god damned cotton slacks for this trip and I'm still pissed about it. [expletive] n' dress code in two of the restaurants.

Looks like my wife will be winning a work-related trip later this spring, where I get to tag along. They'll have some formal functions where I'll have to take my nice knickers. I hope to not ruin it for her.

Have you and Mike worked on your tunneling skills?jim wrote:Problem is, we are going to have having an entire week of Saturday night stuff in a country where the judicial system assumes guilt and you have to prove your innocence.

Re: 12 MORE DAYS
My friends can't even drive their cars to the right county if you gave them directions, let alone dig a tunnel. We have to stay out of jail - even Chapo has had enough and wants to come to the U.S. How bad does it have to be for Chapo to say [expletive] it, extradite me.Radbird wrote:Have you and Mike worked on your tunneling skills?jim wrote:Problem is, we are going to have having an entire week of Saturday night stuff in a country where the judicial system assumes guilt and you have to prove your innocence.

Your sub 7min mile time will help you running from the law. To be safe, better practice doing some intervals with a belly full of nachos and tequila.
