Did you catch Van Halen or Motley Crue last year during their mega-tours?

We saw Van Halen for my birthday last September in Charlotte, and it was fantastic. 2.5 hour show. Wife and I had tickets to see Motley Crue in Syracuse several months in advance, but it ended up being right after I started my previous job in South Carolina, so she had to go with one of her friends from work instead.

I saw ACDC at Wrigley over the summer and I made a huge mistake. I didn't wear ear protection. It was the loudest concert I've ever been to and my ears rang for days. Seriously, wear ear protection. They usually provide it at the events if you ask.

My buddy always bought the concert T-shirts. I was too cheap & only bought one (Scorpions) and lacked the cajones to wear it. Regrets.

i was never in to motley crew but van halen i wanted to see but didnt pull the trigger on tickets. i was a little afraid to drop that kinda cash because i seen them on the tonight show and David Lee Roth really sounded bad. Same reason i didnt get tickets to Rush last summer. Geddy Lee also cant hit those notes anymore. I seen Rush in 1983 in Germany and they were fantastic and to see them with him not able to do it as well now would have been a bummer for me.

Both AC/DC and Bruce Springsteen are playing here in the Twin Cities in February. I want to see them both, but tickets are going anywhere from $250-$300/person for each show.

Can't quite justify dropping $1k on four nosebleed tickets.
I said [expletive] it and bought them. Total cost for the two shows, after StubHub raped me in fees, was about $980. Lower level nosebleed seats... Once somewhat close to the stage were going for $450-$500/person for both shows.

And now Mrs. Swirls and I are trying to decide if we would rather see Guns N' Roses in early April in Vegas for their first official reunited concert, or the Scorpions in Vegas in May. GNR is winning right now.
