I'm ready for SEC Media days to be over. I've paid zero attention this year. Hope Arkansas goes 0-8 again. I'm so sick of Bielema.

It seems to have been pretty boring this year. Although I'll admit, I enjoy it. Possibly because it's new to me- I couldn't give two [expletive] about SEC Media Days 3 years ago, but now it's still new and fun. Whereas you've probably been exposed to it in the past.

It's fun when you have a good team and stuff to talk about. This year....it's like people are just wanting to blow smoke up each other's asses and you kind of get sick of dumbasses blowing smoke up your ass. I don't know if I said that right...but I get sick of hearing guys like Bo Mattingly clamor over how great Arkansas is because they have been named 'Running Back U' and are therefore better than programs like MS State. Or Wally Hall talk about how how awesome Arkansas is/was/always will be just because. Or how Bielema and Malzahn are....still not seeing eye to eye because Bielema is so great and safe and concerned about his players. Blah blah blah.

Face it....you were 0-8 last year. Bielema doesn't have the players to play the style he wants and he didn't necessarily rectify that situation. He's got a long way to go still, has a tough schedule becuase it's the SEC, and unless something unforeseen happens (WHICH IS ENTIRELY [expletive] POSSIBLE BECAUSE IT'S THE SEC AND FOOTBALL) it's gonna be a long year. That said, your quarterback is Brandon Allen, so....regardless, it's probably gonna be a long year.

I have no idea what to make of Arkansas. Theoretically, there should be plenty of talent still on the roster left over from Petrino. Theoretically, Bielema isn't a bad coach (maybe even a good one). Both of his recruiting classes have been decent, if not great (27th and 29th the last two years).

But that 0-8, 3-9 record last year was real. They were legitimately bad, and it wasn't just the schedule. And the schedule's not going to be any easier this year, replacing the crappy Gators with a wild card Mizzou and Rutgers with Texas Tech. South Carolina becomes Georgia, basically a wash.

One year after going 0-8, 3-9, Auburn went 13-1.

I thought it was 12-2....didnt they lose to lsu early? Also, eather importantly, they had a new coach who was equipped w a few top 5 recruiting classes from years before iirc.

yea and it came as no surprise that they started trending downward after malzahn left, then went to the national championship again when he returned

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Everything Malzahn touches turns to gold. Last year could have been a fluke, but I don't think so. Dude....just has a brilliant football mind.
