Meb won the silver medal in the Olympic marathon in 2004 as an American and he has also won the Bix 7 mile race here in QC a couple times.
They made a big deal out of Shalane Flanagan trying to win the women's division this year, she got a full segment on 60 Minutes. She finished 6th.

I've only watched this stuff a few times. The women are feisty. When they went for their drinks, almost were some wipeouts. A lot more lateral movement than seems smart.
